FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(PUEBLO, CO – 1 May 2026) The City of Pueblo is proud to announce it has secured the rights to host a stop on the National Amateur Disc Golf Tour May 15-17, 2026, marking a major milestone in the community’s continued investment in sports tourism and outdoor recreation.
To help secure this prestigious event, the City Park Disc Golf Course recently underwent significant upgrades, including the installation of brand-new, state-of-the-art baskets designed to enhance both player performance and the overall tournament experience.
“Bringing the 303 Open to Pueblo City Park DGC, in 2026, only seems fitting. City Park DGC is the oldest 18-hole disc golf course in the state of Colorado, originating in 1978. With the help of Pueblo City Parks and Rec, the course has gotten a complete update of new course equipment in time for this year’s event,” said Kyle Maute, Disc Golf Tournament Director.
Visit Pueblo’s Sports Council is especially proud to re-enter the disc golf arena, bringing competitive play back to a course with deep roots in the sport, but most importantly the ability to reestablish pueblo is a premier destination for disc golf in the Colorado community.
Pueblo is thrilled to welcome athletes and families from across the state and region and to highlight the quality of Pueblo’s facilities, community, and commitment to growing sports tourism.
The event is expected to draw approximately 150 amateur disc golfers, along with their families and supporters, to Pueblo for a minimum two-night stay. This influx of visitors is anticipated to generate a strong economic impact for local businesses, hotels, restaurants, and attractions during the month of May.
Visit Pueblo extends its gratitude to Pueblo Parks and Recreation for their partnership in making this event possible and for their dedication to maintaining high-quality recreational spaces. Together, these efforts reinforce Pueblo’s reputation as a vibrant sports destination that is open for business.
Additional event details, including schedules and spectator information, will be announced in the coming weeks.
