To celebrate the FAC’s exhibition, Fluid Expressions: The Prints of Helen Frankenthaler, Denver Art Museum curator Gwen Chanzit will discuss Women of Abstract Expressionism, an exhibition she organized in 2016. This was the first full-scale museum presentation of paintings by female artists of the Abstract Expressionist movement, including one of the most successful artists, Helen Frankenthaler.
