The Sangre De Cristo Arts Center Presents:
Indigo Way, a nine-piece dance band based in Pueblo, plans to get everyone out of their seat and moving to some of their favorite numbers inspired by The Temptations, Etta James, Otis Redding, Chicago, Blues Brothers, The Beatles, and many other popular artists of the 60s, 70s and 80s. “It doesn’t matter what type of music you like, you’re going to recognize what we do and you’re going to like what we do,” said band founder and leader Wil Smith. “It’s all very recognizable songs, things that you don’t hear a lot of other bands ever doing.” Nearly 90 percent of the music the band plays is based in blues, Smith said, but it’s not the “old, traditional blues.” (Excerpt from Canon City Daily Record)
